Sunshine and cool cars - what more could you want on a summer day in the Pacific Northwest? One notable event took place in historic downtown Kalama, Washington which was inundated with gorgeous hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles and appreciative spectators for the 21st annual Untouchables Car Show on August 20, 2017. This annual open event is held the third Sunday in August and takes over the quaint town of Kalama. We had more than 370 participants and hundreds of spectators taking over downtown Kalama!
We have a huge raffle for both participants & spectators and they all agree that the prizes are the best. Our Treasure Hunt gives the participants a great way to check out the various businesses and antique malls in Kalama while listening to great rock 'n roll music by Ron Strohmeyer and DJ Entertainment. This year we changed our award ceremony and had our "SWEET 16" top picks line up to display their cars and had the other winners walk up to receive their trophy.
Proceeds from our car show sponsor four scholarships to Lower Columbia College for our local high school graduates, Christmas gifts for the disadvantaged children thru Helping Hands, "adopt" a family for Christmas, assist the needy in our community during the holiday season, contribute to the "Backpack Buddies" program and other charitable contributions.
